French Food??? Hmmm.

This was in October last year... in a French restaurant in Bangsar, KL. The food was yummy and the bill only came up to 280 ringgit!.. which is like AUD$90 and for good quality french food, I think it's a good deal. But hey.. I'm the kinda girl that will give up french food anytime for good old popiah!

Entree:
Escargot and wagyu beef with apple and garlic sauce
Foie Gra with mash and quails

Mains:
Fresh fish fillet with sweet cabbage
Walnut crusted lamb cutlets in red wine sauce

Dessert:
Orange souffle

Toasted Turkey Turkish Bread.

I am sooo sorry I haven't had the time to write much lately.. uni has just been so full on (I am finally feeling the stress of being a final year student!).. and as you can see, I have been cooking in bulk and also fixing up 10 minute meals. I will try to update as often as I can!

What you need:

Turkish bread, smoked turkey slices, lettuce, spinach, sundried tomatoes, cheese and cracked pepper.

Place in a flat grill for ~5 minutes and you have a perfect sandwich that is crispy on the outside with melted cheese and warm ingredients on the inside.

Sundried tomatoesss!

I am becoming a master of quick meals! Haha.. sometimes, I think the preparatory stage of cooking takes up too much time so I end up thinking of ways to whip up a healthy lunch/dinner in 10 minutes or less.

Ingredients you need: Wholemeal bread, sliced cheese (melted in microwave for 20secs), smoked chicken breasts, sundried tomatoes, cracked pepper! Yums! ;)

Exam blues.

Well.. it was not exactly an exam but yesterday, I had a community dentistry test which explains the quick meal and my notes. Haha.. I was pretty last minute when it came to this test but I think it went alright. Anyways, miso soup with tofu, dumplings and seaweed.

Apple & Raisin Scroll

The lingering aroma caught my attention.. the smell of freshly baked bread.. I knew I just had to give in to my temptation. "Just this once", I thought. I stepped right into Baker's Delight and was greeted by rows and rows of fresh bakes. It took me 5 minutes of contemplating (and drooling) before I finally decided what I want.

Wholemeal Apple & Raisin Scroll.

Chunks of apple pieces and raisins embedded in soft and fluffy wholemeal bread.

It was the perfect decision to have this for dinner.

Can I go back there again?

Are you sick of Brown rice yet?

I'm not! Haha.. I happen to be a big fan of brown rice and chicken, white button mushrooms and vegetables! I have just been in this phase but I assure you that there are more updates (not involving brown rice!) coming soon. Haha..

Squid Ink Pizza.

This is the BEST pizza I have ever tried. My family, Eisen and myself had this in a little Jap restaurant in Sydney last year and it was wonderful. A pity I cannot remember the name of the restaurant but I roughly know where it is.. so the next time I visit Sydney, I must have my squid ink pizza fix! :)

Nuts about You.
