Chicken Rice
Whilst I was back home for my holidays, my mummy made her really yummy hainan chicken rice from scratch! I especially love the extra spicy chilli, succulent chicken and fragrant rice! I miss home and cannot wait to go back for good in December... then I can have delicious home-cooked meals every single day. :)

Fruits & Yogurt.
Hi guys.. sorry for my mysterious disappearance once again. Haha.. I'm back in sunny Singapore! I have been really busy going for interviews and meeting up with some of my prospective employers, hence leaving me with little time to even check my emails, much less blog! Anyways, here are some long overdue photos.. because of the stress and tension from exams, I really needed vitamins and nutrients from wholesome foods. That explains why I had lots of fruits, vegetables, brown rice and yogurt. :)
Till next time, take care all!

EXAM OVER!!
My major Oral Surgery exam is finally over!!!! WHOOPIE! So now.. time for some updates eh? Haha.. presenting to you...
I made this a long long time ago.. hahaha.. oops. I was meant to upload the pictures but I just haven't had the time to do so. So anyway, this recipe is definitely a keeper! I made 6 mini muffins and I refrigerated them and warmed them up for breakfast for 1 whole week yet I was not sick of it at all! :)

French Food??? Hmmm.
This was in October last year... in a French restaurant in Bangsar, KL. The food was yummy and the bill only came up to 280 ringgit!.. which is like AUD$90 and for good quality french food, I think it's a good deal. But hey.. I'm the kinda girl that will give up french food anytime for good old popiah!

Toasted Turkey Turkish Bread.
I am sooo sorry I haven't had the time to write much lately.. uni has just been so full on (I am finally feeling the stress of being a final year student!).. and as you can see, I have been cooking in bulk and also fixing up 10 minute meals. I will try to update as often as I can!
What you need:
Turkish bread, smoked turkey slices, lettuce, spinach, sundried tomatoes, cheese and cracked pepper.
Place in a flat grill for ~5 minutes and you have a perfect sandwich that is crispy on the outside with melted cheese and warm ingredients on the inside.

Sundried tomatoesss!
I am becoming a master of quick meals! Haha.. sometimes, I think the preparatory stage of cooking takes up too much time so I end up thinking of ways to whip up a healthy lunch/dinner in 10 minutes or less.
Exam blues.

Apple & Raisin Scroll
The lingering aroma caught my attention.. the smell of freshly baked bread.. I knew I just had to give in to my temptation. "Just this once", I thought. I stepped right into Baker's Delight and was greeted by rows and rows of fresh bakes. It took me 5 minutes of contemplating (and drooling) before I finally decided what I want.
Chunks of apple pieces and raisins embedded in soft and fluffy wholemeal bread.
It was the perfect decision to have this for dinner.
Can I go back there again?

Squid Ink Pizza.
.jpg)
This is the BEST pizza I have ever tried. My family, Eisen and myself had this in a little Jap restaurant in Sydney last year and it was wonderful. A pity I cannot remember the name of the restaurant but I roughly know where it is.. so the next time I visit Sydney, I must have my squid ink pizza fix! :)

Tom Yum Fried Rice.
3 steps to a Healthy Pizza!
1. On a wholemeal pita bread, pile on lite ham, pineapple pieces, fresh tomato slices...
2. Add just a littleeee bit of light mozzarella cheese (if you're on a diet). Otherwise, just pile on the cheese. Haha.. Then place into a toaster oven for 6-8 minutes.
3. Viola! I know it looks like a mess.. but it's yummy healthy gooey stuff! :)

Tom Yum Stir fry.
Chicken and Vegetables Stir fry.
Hi guys! Sorry for the short disappearance.. I have been rostered into Oral Surgery for 2 weeks and it is just so full-on and exhausting! Anyway, it is all over now and I'm back with some simple recipes that go well with brown rice. Hehe.. I loveeee the grainy crunch of brown rice and don't forget, there are tremendous health benefits since it is such a good source of fibre! Hehe... ;P

Chocolate Banana Filo Pockets.
This is the other dish I contributed - slice some bananas, add some dark chocolate chunks and fold ready made filo pastry sheets into triangles, seal with a little butter along the sides. Bake at preheated oven at 180deg for 12 minutes and enjoy the gooey chocolatey goodness! *drools*
Sorry no pics of the inside.. it was all gone too soon.
Crispy Chocolate Squares.
What do you get when you combine rice crispies, peanut butter, melted dark chocolate and marshmellows together? Crispy Chocolate Squaresss!!! This is one of the chocolatey dish which I contributed to the party :) Recipe here.
I modified the recipe and added more rice crispies for the crunch and I also placed the mixture in the freezer for an hour so they tasted a little like ice-cream bars!
