Bak Kut Teh

Eisen gave this meal a 7.5/10. So need I say more?! This is obviously a must try for those who crave for a taste of Home.


I used my grandma's favourite instant Bak Kut Teh pack.. this is probably the only "instant" pack she uses! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of my very last pack that I brought over from Singapore! It's now in the bin.. and I don't wanna rummage through it. I promise I will take a pic next time round! Anyway, these are the ingredients you will need:

12 cloves of garlic
500g of spare ribs
6 dried bean curb (tau gua?) squares (cut into halves)
4 large chinese mushrooms (cut into halves)
1 tablespoon of DARK soya sauce
10 cups of boiling water

Put everything into a pot and simmer for 35-40 minutes!
