Amalfi Pizzeria - Frome Road.

So many of our friends have been raving about this place which is right smacked in the city, just 2 minutes away from the Dental School. It's a wonder that I have not stepped foot into this so called "Famous Pasta Place" the last 4++ years I have been here. Eisen and I decided to give this place a shot and maybe it's because our expectations were so high, we thought it was not that special. :P

Salt and pepper squid - entree

This was just not too bad, the squid was cooked just right but the batter unfortunately, was not crispy enough.

Marinara Pasta

We wanted a tomato-based sauce so the waitress recommended this. They were generous with their seafood (crab, cockles, mussells, fish, prawns and squid) but the sauce just lacked the Oomph! factor, the pasta was hard and did not taste hand-made.

I can't remember the name of this Pizza.. haha.. Camparro or something like that.

This was GREAT!! Proscuitto, fresh basil, tomatoes, wild mushrooms and bocchini cheese on a perfect pizza crust that was fluffy yet crispy at the same time.

Perhaps their speciality is their cream-based pasta but I will definitely be back for more of their pizzas!
